Making an appointment
To make an appointment, please telephone us on 03 9428 9007.
About your appointment
Please arrive on time as not doing so may result in a shortened appointment, insufficient time to performs test or even cancellation.
Failure to attend without adequate warning will attract a fee.
We try to run to time, but in a specialist practice this can be very difficult to do. Rest assure that if if are running late, it is usually because the patients being seen have complicated problems or there are unexpected problems. This cannot be anticipated.
Allow at least one hour for your appointment, and if tests are required perhaps even longer.
You will likely have your pupils dilated, which will leave you blurry and with glare for at least several hours.
What you will need
Bring any glasses that you have. A referral from your doctor or optometrist is critically important. Without it, it is still possible to be seen, but you will not be able to claim a Medicare refund. Bring a credit card or cash to pay your bill.
What you can expect
You can expect to have FULL attention to your problems and you WILL leave satisfied.
Initially you will be seen by Anh Le, our orthoptist who will commence your assessment prior to seeing Dr Joseph San Laureano.
If you are going into hospital for a procedure
Make sure that your health insurance covers you for your procedure and covers you at your chosen hospital. Some funds only cover you as a private patient in a PUBLIC hospital. It is YOUR responsibility to check this to avoid any unexpected bills.
Paying your account
We are a private clinic and we DO NOT bulk bill.
You are expected to pay your bill on the day that you are seen.
Failure to pay your account will attract additional fees and could involve a debt collector
